Membership
- The Board will approve all members
- Members will abide by the Culture and the Norms of the Commons
- 6 month full membership $900 (6 post-dated cheques for $150 a month required)
- Single month full membership $300 (for any part of a month)
- Network monthly membership $50/ month
- Drop in daily membership $50/day
- Standard User Fee $100/ day or $75/ half day
The QSC is happy to offer one free day to prospective members to come and experience the space, the company and the services. This is a once only offer.
Full Membership includes:
- One I-Button key for entry into secured building
- Unlimited use of the common areas (workspace, small meeting rooms, kitchen, etc.)
- Phone extension with email messaging
- An open post box within the Commons – 224 Queen Street mailing address
- Internet Access (wireless & limited wired connections)
- Average use of other Common’s equipment (photo copier, printer, fax, desk top computer)
- Boardroom Meeting space (based on availability) – Bookable online
- Front Room Meeting Space (based on availability) – Bookable online
- Free subscription to Commons Academy Intranet
Network Membership includes:
- Access to QSC member events
- Access to QSC learning and training events at member rate
- Boardroom Meeting space (based on availability)at ¾ Standard User rate and for free after 7PM
- Front Room Meeting Space (based on availability) at 3/4 Standard User rate and for free after 7PM
- Free subscription to Commons Academy Intranet
Drop-In Daily Membership includes:
- Use of the common areas (workspace & kitchen)
- Internet Access (wireless & limited wired connections)
- Average use of other Common’s equipment (photo copier, printer, phone, fax, desk top computer)
Standard User includes:
- Boardroom Meeting space (based on availability) includes equipment and access to kitchen facilities.
- Front Room Meeting Space (based on availability) includes equipment and access to kitchen facilities

Is the ‘office for a day’ concept an option to consider at all? With the occasional self generated contract I find the need to get into a space that will allow me to work through a contract completion (nearing the end).. which usually takes 2-3 days of uninterrupted work. With a family & a full time job, it’s hard to do this sort of thing at home & not possible at work, but it’s also a hard pill to swallow dishing out $200/mo for a remote office space.
Good point Kris – we are working on a much more flexible system now we have a coordinator – I expect that we will be able to offer much more flex at lower costs – please watch this space Rob
